The Association of relatives and sufferers of Alzheimer Llambrusca Penedès gave four thousand five hundred euros to the Pasqual Maragall Foundation at a ceremony held at the Auditorium of Vilafranca del Penedès on Saturday, March 7th.
The president Pasqual Maragall attended the event to personally thank the efforts of the Association for the raised funds. The delivery of the donation was made by the president of Llambrusca, Àngels Cererols, in presence of the Mayor, Marcel Esteve and Teresa Terrades, coordinator town councillor of the area of personal services of the Town Council.
In a completely full auditorium, the local choir, Laroc, directed by Argemí Curto, gave a magnificent concert, which increased the collection since the tickets to attend it joined in with the donation.
The Association Llambrusca, founded in 2000, organizes a day for fundraising every September 21st, the International Day of the Alzheimer’s disease. This year the funds have been destined to the research of the disease.
